Dorothy Compton

Dorothy was born in Barmera, South Australia.

Her childhood was filled with adventure, living in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.

She loves nature and appreciates the continual inspiration it gives to her art work. She works in watercolour, charcoal, acrylic and oil.  

Living in an old wooden church at Cessnock, NSW this is also her studio and gallery.

Exhibitions & Awards

Dorothy has exhibited since 1990 throughout Newcastle, Central Coast, Hunter Valley, Sydney with group and solo exhibitions in the Hunter Valley. She has won many awards and continues to exhibit. She has been hung in the Australian Watercolour Institute Exhibition.
